Privacy Policy for PicPic
Last updated: June 10, 2026
Hey. This is the privacy policy for PicPic, the PICO-8 emulator for iOS and Android.
The short version: I don't track you. I don't want your data.
What I actually collect
I don't use analytics, I don't log what carts you play, I don't know who you are. The app runs on your device and stays there.
"Buy me a coffee" Purchases
The app has an optional tip feature powered by RevenueCat. If you buy something, RevenueCat handles the transaction and here's exactly what they see:
- A random user ID, this is generated by RevenueCat and is not tied to your Apple account, your phone, or any other app. It's just a token so the purchase can be validated.
- Your App Store country
- The date of the transaction
This is RevenueCat's baseline anonymous purchase flow.
Why does Apple say "Data Linked to You"?
Apple's App Store listing says "Purchases" and "Identifiers" may be collected and linked to your identity, that's Apple's required disclosure language for any app using purchase infrastructure. In practice, the only identifier here is that random RevenueCat-generated ID described above.
If you want to dig into what RevenueCat collects on their end, their privacy docs are here: revenuecat.com/privacy
No ads, no third-party analytics, nothing else
No Firebase, no Facebook, no Mixpanel, no advertising SDKs. Nothing like that is in this app.
Cartridges and rights
Use only legitimate cartridges that you own or have permission to use.
PicPic imports local files only and does not host a game catalog.
